Dufferin Peel Catholic Chapter of APSSP numbers approximately 200 members across the four disciplines of Psychology, Child and Youth Work, Speech and Language Pathology, and Social Work. The Dufferin Peel professional student support service staff affiliated with APSSP in 1975 as they were looking for a union that was member-run, democratic, and specifically focussed on supporting the role of school based professional support service staff. Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board encompasses a large geographic region and includes the municipalities of Orangeville, Caledon, Mississuaga and Brampton. There are 141 Catholic schools including 118 elementary and 23 secondary.
