The DCDSB Chapter of APSSP represents Child and Youth Counsellors, Communicative Disorders Assistants, an Orientation and Mobility Instructor, Psychologists, Psychological Associates, Psychometrists, Social Workers/Attendance Counsellors, and Speech and Language Pathologists. Durham APSSP held its first Union meeting with an executive of 4 on June 20th, 1984. Our first collective agreement with DCDSB was established for the period starting in September 1984. Our current executive consists of 9 members from across various disciplines. Chapter membership stands about 43. The DCDSB consists of 44 elementary schools and 7 secondary schools with about 26,000 students in the Durham Region of Ontario. There are approximately 1000 elementary school teachers and 640 secondary school teachers employed by DCDSB.
