Carmela Diano, Vice-President, Grievance and Constitution
VPgrievance@apssp.org	This Provincial Vice-President shall act as Chairperson of the Grievance and Constitution Committee; he/she will attempt to ensure that employers recognize and utilize our members in a fair and proportionate fashion, and that the Constitution of the Association reflects the language and principles of equity for our members. Like all provincial executives he/she shall assist the Provincial President in carrying out his/her official duties. If chosen as the first vice-president by the Executive following the Annual General Meeting, in the temporary absence or incapacity of the Provincial President he/she shall assume the duties and powers of the office of the Provincial President, and shall perform such other duties as may be deemed necessary from time to time. He/she has responsibility for coordinating grievance actions received from local Chapters, monitors access to union consultants and legal services. He/she consults with Chapter Grievance Officers. He/she organizes professional development through meetings of Chapter Grievance Officers. He/she is responsible for the Constitution and calls for a Constitution committee to meet a few times per year as is necessary to review the Constitution and propose changes which are presented to Governing Council prior to the Annual General Meeting.
